A brief description of the energy management or benchmarking program:

Laurier's Energy Management Plan was written in 2009 and is currently undergoing an update. The Plan focuses on measures that will accomplish two things:

· Reducing the energy and resource use of buildings across our campuses
· Providing tools to building occupants empowering them to change behavior to further reduce energy use through their own actions.

The majority of buildings on Laurier's campuses are submetered. Submeter data is fed into PME and Lucid and is monitored/analyzed by our Operations team and Energy Project Manager. Alarms are set up to alert us to any irregularities in the utility data.
In Lucid, dashboards are set up for each building on campus to allow us to analyze building performance and energy and water data trends.
Utility data is also compiled in RET Screen, energy management software so it can be analysed and used to assess building performance.
Energy Audits have been performed on the majority of our building stock as part of the Laurier Energy Efficiency Program and this information is informing our updated energy management plan.
