The STARS 3.1 Summary of Changes (draft for comment) provides an overview of the changes planned for STARS 3.1 and includes links to the full text of each credit with changes highlighted.
The STARS Steering Committee has been working on this revision for over a year and will be voting on formal approval of STARS 3.1 in its October meeting. We are releasing this draft for comment to give the AASHE community an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed changes before the vote.
Please submit any comments via the STARS 3.1 Public Comment Form by October 14, 2026 to have them considered as part of this process. The STARS Town Hall session at AASHE 2026 will focus on these changes and provides another forum to give feedback to the Steering Committee.
