The Indiana University Bloomington General Education Curriculum consists of two parts: The Common Ground and Shared Goals.

The Shared Goals — Diversity in the United States, Sustainability Literacy, Intensive Writing, Information Literacy, and Enriching Educational Experiences — form an essential part of the IU Bloomington GenEd Program.

Unlike the Common Ground requirements, which are the same for all undergraduate students, the Shared Goals are program-specific and vary depending on major and school.

Review of all Graduates by Program level. UG Graduates were counted for specific programs that include the concept of sustainability as a learning outcome. The Graduate and Professional level programs that are included as defined in the following list of degree programs that require an understanding of the concept of sustainability. Reviewed all Programs by the API levels and further review by API/Plan levels to determine sust-focused programs.
