In 2019, the Sustainability Director spoke on Working Sustainable on Campus at the IU CATS - Campus Administrative Training Service. The number of participants at any meeting varies but is typically between 80 and 120.

All IU employees also have access to IU Expand on-demand training at: https://expand.iu.edu/browse/e-training


A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution :

IU is a member of EAB (https://eab.com/) which offers training and solutions for Higher Education facilities operations staff.

Linkedin Learning, which includes several courses on sustainability topics, is made available for all staff for no charge.

IU is a member of USGBC, which grants access to its sustainability resources to all IU staff.

The IU Bloomington Office of Sustainability has 3 FT Staff. Each of these positions includes Sustainability initiatives, goals and outcomes as part of their roles/responsibilities and is the basis for their performance.
