The Sustainability Office actively recruits and hires employees from underrepresented groups. In both our hiring practices and our outreach, we try to target groups that have historically been marginalized, focusing in particular on hiring women, people of color, international applicants, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Sustainability Office routinely partners with the Bates' Office of Equity and Inclusion to co-host crossover events for the student body, with the goal of centering underrepresented groups in the sustainability movement.
