A brief description of the institution’s community garden:
In addition to having our own student garden that sends produce to our Dining Commons and to a local food bank, Bates College also partners with a local nonprofit, Lots to Gardens, to provide space for gardening by community members and to enact programming for local middle school students to engage in agriculture-based education.
