Boise State provides several programs to support staff development for all employees including:

WordPress and Web Accessibility Training: Provided by the Office of Information Technology, the regular workshops concentrate on making all Boise State websites accessible.

BUILD Certificate Training Program: Sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning, the certificate program helps faculty and staff gain knowledge and skills to contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment on campus.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit: The annual summit focuses on increasing the knowledge and skills of all attendees to engage in inclusive practices.

The form Boise State uses for classified and professional employee annual evaluations includes a section on "Employee Development" where any professional development or training activities can be listed.
The sustainability related positions on campus, such as the Sustainability Coordinator, the Extra Mile Arena Assistant Director of Housekeeping - Sustainability & Energy Management, as well as the Energy Manager all have sustainability as a priority included in their performance evaluations.
