The assessment and survey were developed by Environmental Policy and Studies 300 students as their service-learning project during the spring 2022 semester.

The assessment/survey was distributed via the Center for Service & Sustainability newsletter, signage on campus screens, tabling and presented in a few classes.
A brief summary of results from the literacy assessment(s):
The first five questions of this survey were designed to be a mini-assessment of participants’ sustainability literacy. Overall, the majority of respondents answered the questions correctly. It is to be assumed that more sustainability-minded people may have participated in this survey and it would be advantageous to assess the knowledge of a broader swath of our campus community.
