Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Regional Campus and Online Education

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

As a university, we are implementing several initiatives on our regional campus designed to make it easier to access and afford an IU education.

We are eliminating two common fees:
-There is no longer a fee to complete an application for admission to a regional campus using Apply IU.

-There are no parking fees for students on our regional campus for this year — students will need to acquire permits.

We are also working to make it easier for high school students to get a jumpstart on their college education and start building relationships with our campuses by:

-Eliminating the $25 per credit hour fee for Indiana high school students taking dual credit courses through the Advance College Project.

-Adding an option to complete an Indiana College Core certificate. High school students who complete this certificate are guaranteed admission to our regional campuses. They can easily transfer their general education requirements to higher ed institutions across Indiana. Each campus now has an ICC program coordinator who will answer questions and assist the partner schools and students through the process.

-Co-developing pathways with high schools across the state to give students early access to specific career interests.
