Due to the historic nature of the Fort Omaha campus, bike racks are not permitted on certain areas of the campus. In all other instances, there are bike racks available within 50 feet of non-residential buildings.

The Fort Omaha Campus has included "sharrows" within the campus to indicate the best routes for bicyclists and to alert vehicles that there may be bicycles within the area.

Currently, the Fort Omaha Campus has a "Green Bikes" program that is available for any student, faculty or staff to take part in by simply looking up the code to the bike and riding it from one building to another. We simply ask that the bikes stay within the campus boundary and that they are locked to a bike rack when not in use. In the future, MCC is looking to partner with a local bicycle-sharing program to have a more robust and interconnected program within the community.

In 2009, MCC began offering free bus passes as a partnership with Metro Area Transit. Free passes are available to any student taking credit or GED classes and are intended to be used for the purpose of getting to class or any other education related activity; this can include internships and tutoring sessions. To date (2/18) the students at MCC have taken over 1.5 million rides utilizing the free pass to class program.

MCC participates in O! MetroRideshare which is a city-wide carpool program. We advertise the program to our students, staff, and faculty.

MCC installed 2 dual port Level 2 chargers on the Fort Omaha Campus in Fall of 2017 that are completely open to the public. We are continually looking to expand our EV charging network.
