The majority of education related to construction and demolition (C&D) recycling is done through the person handling the haul of the material.
NC State Waste Reduction and Recycling (WRR) currently manages many of the roll-offs in-house which allows the university to determine where the materials will be
delivered. WRR utilizes two facilities which recycle construction and demolition when there are either separated or mixed loads. There is currently an initiative underway to begin reusing building materials through Habitat for Humanity and other outlets. WRR is taking part in this discussion in an effort to expand these programs and services.
