Yes

A brief description of the programs sponsored by the institution to support underrepresented groups within the student body:

To provide support and resources to minority groups within the student body, Pomona College staffs and runs two support centers – the Asian American Resource Center (AARC) and the Women's Union (WU). The Claremont University Consortium, of which Pomona is a part, runs three support centers open to Pomona students, staff, and faculty – the Chicano/Latino Student Affairs Center (CLSA), the Office of Black Student Affairs (OBSA), and the Queer Resource Center (QRC). The Centers seek to build community, raise awareness of issues affecting under-represented groups, and celebrate the diversity of experience within the student body.

A brief description of the programs sponsored by the institution to support underrepresented groups within the faculty:

The College provides support services for all faculty. An Associate Dean and the Research Committee are responsible for helping faculty members gain support for research and travel, both from governmental and foundation sources and from College sources. The College awards Faculty Research Grants to support research expenses during the academic year for faculty members, and Faculty Travel Grants for meeting of professional societies. Four Grievance Officers respond to any complaints of discrimination or harassment, and in the case of factual disputes, send the case to the Harassment and Discrimination Grievance Committee, composed of six faculty members, six staff members, and six students, who resolve the dispute. The centers described above (AARC, WU, CLSA, OBSA, QRC) are also open and available to staff and faculty.

A brief description of the programs sponsored by the institution to support underrepresented groups within the staff:

HR and various departments provide trainings and classes to various staff groups; including English as a Second Language (ESL) training, computer training, and professional training for under-represented staff groups. The centers described above (AARC, WU, CLSA, OBSA, QRC) are also open and available to staff and faculty.
