The Marion Campus inititiated a waste monitoring and reduction program in FY 2010.

In FY10 the Marion campus recycled 14.78 tons of materials.
In FY11 the Marion campus recycled 16.2 tons of material.
In FY12 the Marion campus recycled 10.8 tons of material.

Fiber (all types of paper and cardboard), aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and metal.

Waste reduction analysis was done by Office of Energy Services & Sustainability staff.
Extrapolation back to baseline year FY2005 was done. Under this analysis, the STARS waste reduction calculation did not yield a positive point score.
