The University of Louisville is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for its faculty, staff and students. To that end, the Industrial Hygiene Section of the Department of Environmental Health and Safety provides services and compliance guidance to the University community for many aspects of workplace health and safety. Some exceptions to this are Biological Safety, Radiation Safety, Laser Safety, and Waste Disposal which are specialized areas with separate professional staff.
Compliance with the regulations of the Kentucky Office of Occupational Safety and Health is the basis for several OSH Programs administered by the Industrial Hygiene Section.
