All staff and faculty are invited to attend any of the wide variety of sustainability professional development opportunities which include earning sustainability digital badges.

In the Sustainability Essentials Digital Badge, badge earners are introduced to core concepts of sustainability and their connection to our St. Thomas mission. Badge earners also learn how the university is taking action to contribute to sustainability goals and identify ways they can get involved and contribute to efforts at St. Thomas and beyond in their own lives.

In the Pollinator Path Principles Digital Badge, badge earners get an overview of how important pollinators really are, types of pollinators, the plants that depend upon them, and how plants and pollinators are connected by evolution, all in the context of the St. Thomas Pollinator Path. Upon completing the Pollinator Path Principles badge, badge earners can enroll in the Pollinator Path in Practice Digital Badges to take their knowledge about flowering plants and pollinators one step farther. The focus here is the most important flowers on the Pollinator Path (or for their own garden) and the life cycles of honeybees, bumblebees and one example of a solitary bee.
