Our Campus Diversity Office is led by a Chief Diversity Officer who is a member of the Chancellor's Cabinet. This office oversees 6 campus program areas related to diversity (see list below). The Office has a mission and vision statement:

Mission Statement: Our mission is to foster a diverse environment that contributes to an inclusive culture and climate by promoting critical discourse and meaningful interactions between all members of our campus community.

Vision Statement: We strive to create a campus that provides access and support for underserved populations;
- has an inclusive and just culture;
- values understanding, compassion, and acceptance;
- is committed to the ideals of social justice;
- prepares students for global citizenship;
- and is collaborative, safe, and respectful.

A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:

The Diversity Office oversees many program areas that each provide regular cultural competency training to campus students, staff, faculty, and administrators. These programs include:
- International Programs
- Center for Non-Traditional and Veteran Students
- Patricia A. Doyle Center for Gender and Sexuality
- Student Support Services and Services for Students with Disabilities
- Affirmative Action, ADA and Title IX
- Office of Multicultural Student Affairs

Additionally, Human Resources and Residence Life provide many training's on cultural competency each year.
