Announcements are currently not being used on the STARS website, the functionality has been preserved in case there is a time it needs re-enabled.
Adding and Editing Announcements
From the WordPress dashboard, click Announcements in the left menu to bring up the full listing. To edit an existing entry, click its name in the list; to add a new entry, click Add Announcement at the top of the page. To hide an Announcement from the slider, but keep it’s data entered in the back-end, set the visibility of the announcement to Private.
Field Definitions
- Title: the title of the News item
- Link: link the announcement directs to when clicked
- Description: the short description of the Announcement which displays in the slider
- Image: the image for the announcement
