A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:

96% of students live on our main campus, however we wanted to get more detail on how many students were using their on-campus car regularly. We asked several questions related to commuting as part of our Sustainable Literacy and Culture Survey which was administered by the Office of Institutional Research in September 2022. There were 286 student responses and 7.3% reported using a car as their primary mode of transportation to and from classes. The survey questions are attached in the supporting documents area below.

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:

We asked several questions related to commuting as part of our Sustainable Literacy and Culture Survey which was administered by the Office of Institutional Research in September 2022. The survey was sent to all faculty and staff and reminder emails were sent throughout the month the survey was open. There were 184 responses. We asked respondents to provide their primary method of commuting (and mileage) for Fall, Spring and Summer periods to see if there was a large difference through the year. The modal split reported above and below is based on the average results. The survey questions are attached in the supporting documents area below.
