In 2012 we recycled 23,452 pounds of paper and 50,773 pounds of glass and plastic. There is also a University auction, cardboard recycling at Move-In and electronic waste projects. We have around 900 recycling receptacles around campus.
At the end of the year we have 'Move Out' to collect items in good condition from students in order to donate to families in need around the community. Following is a list of the types of items donated at our 2013 Move Out:

Our data is for 2012-2013.
We used a very conservative number to estimate the number of tons (1) that we collected through Move Out.
We estimated our materials disposed in a solid waste landfill by working with Republic, our recycling and trash company. We estimated that our dumpsters were 2/3 full 9 months of the year, and 1/4 full for 3 months of the year because we do not offer summer classes. Our campus is very empty during January for Winter Term too.
