Net Impact: Sustainable Business Club
The undergraduate Net Impact chapter at Kelley strives to educate Indiana University students about sustainable careers and enterprises as well as provide opportunities and connections in the industry. Net Impact is a new generation of leaders who use our careers to tackle the world’s toughest problems. We put our business skills to work for good throughout every sector. By doing so, we show the world that it’s possible to make a net impact that benefits not just the bottom line, but people and the planet too.
Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center
The NMBCC is a home away from home for Black students on campus. It is a space where Black students can find holistic support as they navigate academics, personal wellness, and their quest for community. While the Center welcomes everyone, the programs, activities, and forms of engagement and deeply rooted in the Black perspective. The staff at the Center look forward to connecting with students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members.
Queer Student Union
The Queer Student Union at Indiana University aims to empower LGBTQ+ students through community building and advocacy at IU. We are undergraduate & graduate students dedicated to the advancement of queer livelihood and intersectionality in all forms. Founded in Fall 2020, the QSU offers opportunities for students to participate on as a general member or on one of the three committees - Communications, Programming, and Advocacy - as well as in leadership positions. We focus on community building and advancement of queer livelihood, and are a spiritual successor to organizations such as OUT.
Environmental Law Society
The Environmental Law Society provides many opportunities and resources for students interested in environmental law or in the environment in general. The group is devoted to making the law school more environmentally conscious, as well as helping its members pursue careers in environmental law. The group hosts guest speakers to discuss environmental law issues, works with local environmental attorneys and groups, and hosts social events (trivia nights; hikes in local state forests) to help connect environmental students with one another. We're always looking for new members and new ideas!

Hilltop Garden and Nature Center serves as an educational and recreational resource for youth gardening, Indiana University, and the surrounding community to learn about gardening and to connect with nature.

180 Degrees Consulting provides socially conscious organizations around the world with high-quality consulting services. We work with organizations to develop innovative, practical, and sustainable solutions to whatever challenges they’re facing.
180 Degrees Consulting connects the untapped capabilities of top undergraduate students with the unmet needs of socially conscious organizations. Importantly, the process is mutually beneficial. Non-profits, social enterprises, and socially-minded businesses get custom solutions to problems they’re facing and our students get work experience, professional training, first-hand exposure to non-profits and social enterprises, real leadership development, and the opportunity to make a difference.

The Sustainability & Resilience Conference was held virtually on October 26-27, 2021 exploring the theme "Accelerating Climate Action in Indiana". The conference was offered for no charge.

Given our university's diverse student population, we consider all cultural groups and events to be a matter of sustainability for our campus.

Indiana University Outdoor Adventures is an outdoor recreation program that serves the Bloomington campus and surrounding community. Outdoor Adventures gives people the opportunity to rent or buy quality camping and hiking gear, organize custom experiences, take skills courses for college credit, or sign up for adventure trips. It utilizes Leave No Trace principles on all of its trips, as well trains its leaders in their use.Not only does Indiana University Outdoor Adventures (IUOA) follow No Trace Principles, their staff contains a few Leave No Trace Master Educators and Trainers as well. Leave No Trace is an integral part of their program, which is one of the reasons IUOA offers a one-credit class through the School of Public Health twice a year which sometimes offers students the opportunity to become Leave No Trace Trainers, the first level of training within the Leave No Trace curriculum.

The IU Office of Sustainability webpage provides resources for living sustainability on campus and provides resources for residence halls to promote sustainable living.

The Office of Sustainability has an internship program that employs 10 to 18 undergraduate and graduate students. Interns participate in formal and information seminars focused on sustainability knowledge and practice, as well as general professional skill development.
