We purchase our renewable energy from the Feely and Randolph solar PV grids in Minnesota. These are local community solar gardens. They are owned by Ecoplexus and fed into Xcel Energy's portfolio.

Macalester's wind turbine and PV array on Markim Hall generate electricity that is directly fed into the College's electrical loop.

A brief description of the clean and renewable stationary fuels:

The EcoHouse has a solar-thermal array to heat the DHW for the house - not metered. The EcoHouse is an on-campus housing opportunity for sustainability minded students. The house has been updated/renovated to serve as a demonstration location/cultural house for many infrastructure-related sustainability improvements.
