A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:
Richland was a participant college in the Rocky Mountain Institute's study, summit, and resulting book: Accelerating Campus Climate Initiatives. Richland also participated in AASHE’s Curriculum Summit in San Diego from which the Sustainability Curriculum in Higher Education: A Call to Action document was produced. The article, “Green from North to South,” detailing the design of Richland’s LEED Platinum science building was featured in The Annual Green Issue of College and Planning Management.
Richlanders have presented on sustainability in the curriculum, green buildings and operations, sustainability leadership models, and sustainability as means to improve institutional capacity and effectiveness at a variety of conferences and meetings: American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), Conference on Sustainability for Community Colleges, The League for Innovations in the Community College’s Innovations, Texas Association of Institutional Research (TAIR), Texas College & University Facilities (TCUF).

In conjunction with all seven Dallas County Community Colleges (DCCCD), Richland coordinated a Curriculum for Sustainability workshop given by Geoff Chase for 50 district faculty. Richland also hosted a Student Transportation Summit which brought together student leaders from DCCCD colleges to plan initiatives to promote alternative transportation.
