All empty toner cartridges get returned back to the company for recycling.

Battery collection bins are located outside Design Services in the McKillop Library garden level. Donors are asked to pay special attention to the recycling details posted above the bin. Of special note:

Please do not put corroded or leaking batteries in the recycling bin.
Be sure to tape all batteries as they otherwise create a fire hazard.

Yes

A brief description of the published sustainability criteria for furniture and furnishings:

Salve staff and faculty are required to reach out to the Purchasing Department and Facilities before purchasing office furniture and shelving units. (Facilities will check the university furniture inventory.)

Additionally, the university has business accounts set up through WB Mason, Amazon, and Home Depot. When Salve community members are granted access to the WB Mason and Amazon accounts, this policy is reviewed again by the Purchasing Office. If an individual tries to order furniture and furnishings, they will notice the locked "Organization restricted" flag and would need permission from the Purchasing Office to complete the order. The Home Depot account is reserved for Facilities, Grounds, and the Technical Director in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance, which also helps to manage the ordering of furniture & furnishings.
