Title: Beyond the Concepts! What Faculty Need to Feel Ready to Teach Sustainability in the Classroom

This session highlights the findings of a research project into faculty needs when considering the transition to a sustainability-infused curriculum.

In 2021, a bronze award was given to Seneca in the 2021 Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) Awards of Excellence. This recognition is in the new CICan Excellence in Sustainable Development category, which acknowledges Seneca’s commitment to sustainability as guided by the principles of United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Suad Ali, a Seneca student in the School of Fashion, served as the SDG Coordinator for Seneca and was a member of the Alumni Steering Committee as part of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Youth. She was in these roles from Nov 2019 to May 2021 and Aug 2020 to May 2021, respectively.

SDSN Canada is part of a global SDSN movement to build a network of universities, colleges and knowledge institutions to promote practical solutions for sustainable development.
