The Advisory Committee on Shareholder Responsibility (ACSR) (2007 - present) is a committee designated as a student-run advisory mechanism to the Board of Trustees for making socially responsible investment decisions. The ACSR's charter calls for a membership of three undergraduate students to submit formal recommendations on how Tufts University uses its proxy vote on various issues that come before it as a major investor. In 2011, the name of the committee was changed to the Advisory Committee on Endowment Responsibility (ACER).
During the 2014-2015 academic year, the students have been inactive.
Held info sessions.
Advocated successfully for short term investment in community banks.
Participated in a separate working group to review possible divestment from fossil fuel companies.
