UMass Medical School's central sustainability website highlights sustainable aspects of the organizations ranging from building properties to campus recycling to transportation. The website is designed to engage faculty, students, and staff to learn more about what the University if doing for sustainability and how they can participate in making the organization more sustainable.

A brief description of the sustainability newsletter:

The university publishes a bimonthly sustainability newsletter. The newsletter highlights new sustainability projects, accomplishments, and events. The newsletter also provides helpful resources to faculty, staff, and students to help them reduce their environmental impact. The newsletter further engages members of the UMMS community to get involved with sustainability in the organization by tracking progress towards our sustainability goals.

A lot of information on sustainable food options is is including as part of Sodexo's mindful program. The marketing for this program is updated though out the year.

The Growing Green website has a section on transportation which provides employees with information on the alternative transportation services available. These services include MBTA Bus line, the MassRides Program, and NuRide ride matching service. Additional information is available through the UMass Medical School Parking web page.

In May of 2015 UMMS participated in Bay State Bike week and took the opportunity to promote bicycling as a commuter option. During the event UMMS provided information on bike storage, the Emergency Ride Home program, NuRide, and bike maps. During the event over 150 giveaways including bike bell, reflective arm bands and lights were handed out.
