UMMS is a partner of the MassRIDES NuRide program through the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). Preferential parking is available in the Pine Tree Lot for carpool/vanpool participants.

UMMS owns some fleet of vehicles that are available for employees/department to use during the day for local travel.

Yes, the university has two level 2 charging stations and two “trickle” outlets, and a Tesla Wall Charger installed on the first floor of the First Road employee garage.

UMass Medical School offers four types of flexible work arrangements. They are: flextime, compressed work week, telecommuting/alternative work site and reduced hours/part‐time. Any employee may submit a proposal for a flexible work arrangement. However, not all jobs are suitable for such an arrangement and each case must be considered by the responsible supervisor or manager. However, supervisors/managers are encouraged to give positive consideration to requests where they meet the needs of both UMMS and the individual.
