A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:

UMKC have already reduced 24-25% of our carbon emissions since the baseline year of 2008. The reductions are due to work on the Energy Programs-the Performance Contract, Retrofits and upgrades on Equipment, Natural Gas use and Recycling and Waste Reduction.
After the graphs were presented and discussed the group decided to take a 30% reduction in the carbon emissions goal for 2020 with a stretch goal of 35%. Which include Areas of improvement for the other 5-6% could include:
Potential Geo Thermal similar to Missouri S &T
Solar
Continued Retrofits on Equipment
Alternative Transportation: Clean Commute Bicycle Loaner Program, Zip Car, All Access Bus Pass
Education like; NO Impact Man book campus wide- focus
