A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable electricity:
The Eugene Waster and Electric Board (EWEB) produces a clean energy mix of 83.1%, and records Renewable Energy Credits through the Western Regional Energy Generation Information Service (WREGIS). WREGIS maintains the records of Renewable Energy Credits for EWEB. The UO does not purchase renewable energy credits, but we know the vast majority of our imported electricity is renewable.

The UO has five buildings that generate PV solar electricity: our Facilities Warehouse (10.5KW), the Erb Memorial Union (10KW), the Student Recreation Center (12.6KW), the Outdoor Program Barn (5.2KW), and EC Cares center (5.66KW).

UO operates large solar hot water systems on LLC North and Global Scholars Hall (on-campus residence halls). These systems provide hot water for domestic purposes.

Propane used to heat the satellite campus Oregon Institute of Marine Biology.
There are a small number of building not on the main campus district energy system. These buildings use the local utility electricity grid.

Eugene Water and Electric Board has a mix of renewable energy that is
83.1% renewably sourced and accounts for a significant majority from purchased electricity. The percentage mix above is offset slightly by satellite campuses which are serviced by private utilities. These utilities still have a small amount of coal in their mix.
The UO Sustainability Dashboard publishes an annual air and climate Greenhouse Gas report, and published the local utility grid mix:
