Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Ohio University Rebike Program

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

The Ohio University Police Department tags and then collects bicycles abandoned on the Athens campus each spring. Beginning in March 2017, the Office of Sustainability and Office of Moving and Surplus collaborate on the Rebike Program to assess, minimally repair and sell functioning abandoned bicycles to the university community for a fixed affordable price. Prior to the Rebike Program bicycles were sold through an online auction to the highest bidder and did not return to the local community. The Rebike Program not only keeps surplus items in the community but encourages the use of bicycles for transportation to and around campus.
