Sustainable Behrend is housed under the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, with office space within the School of Science. This office works across campus to implement and promote the 17 UN Sustainable Developments Goals throughout the institution.

A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:

In 2020 we completed our first STARS assessment, as well as establishing a campus-wide Sustainability Council comprised of Faculty, Staff, Students and Administrators. In 2021, this council finalized our first campus sustainability strategic plan (2020-2025) entailing 3 goals to be fulfilled through 11 objectives and 46 action items. As of December 2022, 30% of those actions have been completed, 50% are in-progress, and 20% have not yet started.
