A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):

The Health and Wellness Center is committed to delivering the highest quality of health services which include prevention, promotion, and medical care for all students, faculty, and staff. The confidentiality of patient health is of utmost importance in achieving a level of trust and satisfaction. Incorporated into the philosophy of the Health and Wellness Center is the integration of treating the whole person --- mind, body, and spirit.

The Penn State Behrend Health and Wellness Center is committed to the promotion of campus-community wellness. Specific objectives include:
-Render invaluable medical services in an atmosphere of respect to the entire campus community.
-Increase student knowledge by promoting positive healthy lifestyle choices through educational programs and outreach events.
-Maintain prevailing knowledge of evolving medical trends and respond with quality treatment and education.

Penn State's Human Resources Office coordinates Health Initiatives for faculty and staff. These include:
- An Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a free, confidential employee and family resource to be used as a first line of defense for personal or work-related concerns for employees and their families.
- A Weight Watchers program
- An on-campus Employee Health and Wellness Center
- Free flu vaccines
- Campus Recreation memberships are available to all University Park faculty, staff, and retirees as well as their spouses/partners.
