Does the institution have at least one sustainability committee?:
Yes

The charter or mission statement of the committee(s) or a brief description of each committee's purview and activities:

President's Sustainability Advisory Committee Aim: The university’s commitment to provide leadership in furthering our sustainability practices means we must consider our environmental impacts in everything we do including policy, practice, research, and academic offerings. As such, a new advisory group, the SDSU Sustainability Advisory Committee, will be formed. The charge for this committee will be to provide a forum to bring together academic, research, student, facility planning and campus operating interests to oversee and provide recommendations regarding University environmental sustainability policies and progress towards meeting campus sustainability goals. By increasing awareness of our strengths in these areas and identifying areas for further improvement, the campus will continue to define itself as a community leader in sustainability, while putting into practice the University's Principles of Sustainability across all campus operations, academic areas and research.

The specific intended outcomes of the SAC committee will be to:
- Share information and identify emerging opportunities for collaboration among academic, research, and administrative units, offering the campus as a living lab for students and faculty to promote education, research and outreach activities in the context of environmental stewardship,
