South Dakota State University has made it a standard to install water meters and connect them to the building automation system (BAS) on new construction and major renovation projects. Facilities & Services monitors water usage within the BAS. Monthly reports are reviewed by the Energy Conservation Engineer to identify areas for savings and water reduction.
