A brief description of the institution’s program to support employee volunteering:

Stetson University has several institutionalized ways to promote employees volunteering during regular work hours through different signature programs:

§ Values Day - One day each year, classes and work are set aside in order for students, faculty, and staff to participate in workshops and community service activities, and attend a Global Citizenship Fair, where they can identify additional volunteer and internship opportunities with our local community· www.stetson.edu/other/values-day/

· Total community service hours contributed annually = 120 hours/year

§ Center for Community Engagement - Students, faculty, and staff can meet with the CCE staff to identify community service opportunities with local non-profit
partners. Through the CCE and in other ways, many faculty and staff have attained positions on local non-profit Boards of Directors and certain government boards and commissions, many of which often meet during normal business hours. This service to the University community is considered part of their job. www.stetson.edu/community

· Total community service hours contributed annually = 24 faculty/staff on boards x 25 hours (avg) of work per year = 600 hours/year

§ People Helping People - This non-profit board was founded and managed by Stetson faculty and staff to raise funds through direct employee payroll contributions and to distribute those funds to local non-profit organizations; the board often meets during normal business hours · www2.stetson.edu/helping

· Total community service hours contributed annually = 5 faculty/staff on board x 25 hours (avg) of work per year = 125 hours/year

§ Quality of Service Council - This staff council organizes supply and funding drives for local non-profit organizations, and holds programs for all faculty and staff during normal business hours to increase donations and celebrate those non-profit organizations. · www.stetson.edu/other/quality-of-service-council/
