Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Yes

Percentage of employees assessed, directly or by representative sample:
46

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

The Faculty Senate conducts a comprehensive survey of faculty satisfaction approximately every two years that includes non-tenure track and adjunct faculty.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

The faculty satisfaction survey results are compiled by the Faculty Welfare Committee and shared with the Senate Executive Committee. In both 2020 and 2022 the results were shared directly with the University President. In 2020, a report was written on the results, which included comparative data from other institutions via HERI. This report was presented to the Faculty Senate and to the President’s Cabinet and shared with the Board of Trustees. In 2022, the survey was only of internal faculty, so results were discussed on the Senate Executive Committee and with the University President, but no formal presentation has occurred.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

For AY22 (employee census reporting date of November 1, 2021), we had 765 employees at the DeLand campus. For the number of faculty, going off of who has faculty status based on their primary role (so that includes people like Chris, Noel, and Elizabeth as faculty but excludes people like me who are primarily staff but teach an FSEM), we had 353 individuals with faculty status (including adjuncts). 353/765 for 46%.
