Does the institution have a sustainability plan that meets the criteria for this credit?:
Yes

A brief description of how multiple stakeholder groups were involved in developing the plan:

Over the past three years the Sustainability Task Force developed a sustainability plan for the College that includes all aspects of sustainability on campus: administration, operations, and education. The task force consisted of 15 members representing the faculty, upper level administrators, and community representatives. The plan also explicitly includes a climate action plan as required by our commitment to the American College and University President’s Climate Commitment (ACUPCC). The task force believed that in order to be successful, a climate action plan needs to include more than just the energy consumption of the institution; it must also consider the entire institution and its community. Only with this broader approach can we fulfill our mission: “to create a sustainable, efficient, and healthy atmosphere for our students, faculty, and staff”. The sustainability plan was endorsed by student senate in December 2009 and adopted by the Mount Union Board of Trustees in May 2010.

A brief description of the plan’s measurable goals :

The plan has explicit dated action steps under each of its sections that can be verified

A brief description of how progress in meeting the plan’s goals is measured:

The Sustainability Management Advisory Committee is charged with assessing progress on an annual basis and making reports to the Presdient's Council. In addition the plan was developed so that STARS could provide some of the metrics for assessment.
