Those individuals presenting information to their peer faculty and staff members are heavily invovled in the sustainability efforts on campus and all have a thorough understanding of the topic. Most are members, chosen by the President and by vote of the Faculty, of the Sustainability Management Advisory Committee.
The Sustainability Management Advisory Committee gives a verbal and written report at each monthly faculty meeting indicating what actions we are taking or planning to take and the reasons for these actions. This alerts our faculty to the issue of sustainability in our university community and encourages their cooperation/participation. It also icnreases their awareness of key issues related to sustainability.
The University provides all the staff and funding for the Sustainability Management Advisory Committee and the presentations members of the group give at Faculty meetings.
