A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

Staff - New Employee Orientation is usually scheduled on the first, third, and fifth Tuesday of the month. It may be offered on a different day of the week if the University is closed on a Tuesday. Orientation begins at 9 a.m. and runs until approximately 5 p.m., with a 1-hour break for lunch. Sustainability information is included in every staff orientation. All staff orientations are virtual and hosted by human resources. The Sustainability slides are created by the Office of Sustainability and presented by human resources. Information presented includes sustainability at UTD (operations, engagement, academics, and administration), the Green Office Certification program, recycling information, and Bee Campus and Tree Campus USA. Please see “Additional Documentation” for the slides presented.

Faculty - Sustainability information is not included in faculty orientation.
