A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

The survey will be:

-Administered to all faculty and staff (except RA, TA, GA, and student employees).
-Sent electronically from: Glint <survey@mail.glintinc.com>. Glint will also send email reminders throughout the survey period to employees who have not completed the survey.
-Available in multiple languages.
-43 questions with voluntary demographic questions. Demographic data helps UT Dallas better understand the results and allows the University to look more closely at perceptions of the campus climate from different perspectives. Forty questions will be on a Likert scale (ranging 1 to 5, where 1 is least satisfied to 5 being very satisfied) with an option to provide comments and feedback to each question for more context. In addition, there will be three open-ended questions to provide any additional feedback and insight on any subject not specifically addressed in the survey.
-Analyzed by Glint. Results shared with UT Dallas will maintain participants’ anonymity.

The survey was open from February 28 through March 13, 2022.


A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

The Employee Climate Survey Committee, comprised of faculty and staff, will review the survey findings and provide recommendations to President Benson on possible action items to address concerns or opportunities. UT Dallas will use the results of this survey to enhance what is working well, find solutions to issues and challenges impacting the workplace, and assess current and future needs of a changing work environment.
