The Office of Sustainability, The UTSA Sustainability Council, The Student Government Association, The Green Society, Bioswale Brigade and the Texas Sustainable Research Institute ALL reach out to students in an effort to assess the sustainable culture on campus. The Office of Sustainability hopes to implement an annual official campus-wide sustainability survery by the next academcic year.

Although many students are aware of some of the sustainability issues, it is clear that their knowledge is limited in scope and depth. There is, however, a subset of the population that is very well informed and actively presses the sustainability agenda on campus. These sustainability leaders have been instrumental in the campus social change dynamic.
