Mobility Hub Study
URL: https://www.uofumobilityhub.com/
The University has partnered with multiple agencies to determine the appropriate locations and characteristics for mobility hubs to serve the transportation needs of employees, students, and visitors to their University destination. The study will be used to fund and construct mobility hubs in the next five years.

Clear the Air Challenge
URL: https://sustainability.utah.edu/engagement/clear-the-air/
The University participates in the Clear the Air Challenge sponsored by the Utah Division of Air Quality and Utah Clean Air Partnership (UCAIR). For the month of July, participants log non-SOV trips individually or in teams and can earn incentives for lowering emissions; the University is involved in program planning, has won the challenge in previous years and has over 200 teams and 5,000 individuals that participate annually.

Active Transportation Program
The Sustainability office supports regular events to encourage and incentivize active mode choices throughout the year, including Winter Bike Day, Bike Week, and Bike Month. The program also supports U in Motion, an equity centered program that provides refurbished bicycles, accessories and education to students identifying a basic need for transportation through the University's Basic Needs Center. The University supports a Campus Bike Shop to assist with cyclist education, low cost parts and repair for students and employees.

All bike related information, including parking spaces, repair stations, and signed and marked routes are on the public-facing campus map at map.utah.edu under the 'Bikes' menu. Walking directions to every campus destination are also located on the campus map.

Building More On-Campus Student Housing
The University of Utah has just 19% of undergraduate students living on campus - substantially lower than the average housing capture of peer institutions. Per a Presidential initiative to expand on campus housing, the University has adopted a 5 year Housing Master plan to add 5,000 new beds of student housing by 2027. This new housing will fulfill extensive waits lists and increase the on-campus, residential presence of campus life. New undergraduate housing on campus will decrease demand for vehicle parking and emissions from commuting.

U Health Commuters
The University Hospital has spearheaded an effort to reduce SOV driving to their facilities and encourage sustainable transportation choices for employees and patients. The program has dedicated staff and funds to create and market a program brand, provide commuter incentives and communicate support from senior leadership.
