Office of Sustainability
Green Team captains are nominated and selected by their own departments and serve in this volunteer capacity with the approval of their direct supervisors.
New Green Team captains participate in lunch orientation sessions, as well as quarterly education meetings. Captains also receive a bi-weekly email with educational information and tips about how to engage colleagues in current campus sustainability campaigns. The captains then distribute this information to the members of their department.
"Think Green Thursdays" offer opportunities for captains to learn about engaging, participatory games and activities that they can share with their departments.
Office of Sustainability staff members are responsible for the development of resources for the network, including a resource website with discussion forums. The office hosts meetings and meals and provides awards for recognition programs.
