A brief description of the institution’s formal community partnership to advance sustainability, including website URL (if available) and information to support each affirmative response above:

Material support including support through the use of facilities. Students, faculty, staff and community members work together to gather and process data garnered from sampling done on the Saw Kill and in the Saw Kill watershed. This allows community members to have a more direct interaction with the Bard community, as well as their environment. Students assist the community volunteers in training and in sampling. The data may be used to draw conclusions that directly impact the lives of everyone in the watershed community, which includes Bard College. If the Saw Kill Watershed Community did not exist, the members of the community would lose this opportunity to have the same direct understanding with the data behind a change.
