Does the institution make cultural competence trainings and activities available to all employees?:
Yes

A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:

Ideally, Pace University should be a workplace where students, faculty and staff want to come and stay. This objective requires people who are willing and able to meet on common ground, people who have mutual respect and understanding. When people believe that what they are, and what they do, is respected by others, then conflict, tension, complaints, grievances, and turnover decrease while morale and productivity increase.
This program provides practical skills that everyone can use to create a respectful and inclusive workplace. It teaches individuals how to recognize and respond professionally and with respect in a variety of real world situations.
At the end of this module, participants will be able to:
• Explain the benefit of mutual respect in the workplace.
• Explain the importance of personal responsibility in promoting respect in the workplace.
• Use the four steps in the M.E.E.T. model to help promote a "mutual respect" working environment.
