Every year, a data collection on energy and fuels consumption is carried out for Polytechnique's annual sustainable development report. Emissions factors were used to convert those quantity into tonnes of CO2 equivalent.

In most of the Operations credits, including OP-1, the performance year chosen is 2014-2015 because of operational data availability. For these credits, the numbers reported for FTE of enrolled students corresponds to the numbers for the Summer 2014, Fall 2014 and Winter 2015 sessions.

These numbers are thus different from those presented in the IC-3 criteria, which provides the most up-to-date data on FTE for students (FTE for the Summer 2015, Fall 2015 and Winter 2016 sessions).
