Selkirk College has invested in the solar generation of 10 solar modules within the Nelson Community Solar Garden. The Colleges shares of 10 modules, accounted for 2,703.52 kWh between March 2022 and March 2023.


A brief description of the on-site renewable electricity generating facilities/devices:

Castlegar campus has two solar installations. The library roof has 275 panels producing electricity for our main buildings. There is a ground mount solar install near the Mir Centre for Peace which powers the Mir Centre historical building, and excess is exported back to the Fortis BC grid.
