The EDI Advisory Committee is made up of Selkirk College community members who provide advice, guidance and support to Selkirk College and the Leadership Team based on their diverse lived experiences and perspectives. The EDI Advisory Committee provides recommendations on priorities, direction and programs to enhance EDI initiatives, activities, policies and actions. The EDI Advisory Committee raises emerging issues, influences the direction of the Leadership Team’s strategic priorities and supports the execution of EDI initiatives. Over the past 18 months, this group has been drafting the College's EDI Plan, set to be published spring 2023.

Indigenous Services has been running a Reconciliation Speaker Series, aiming to bring Indigenous wisdom to the forefront
Selkirk's Indigenous Cultural Assistant hosts weekly Cultural Expressions sessions which include Indigenous inspired crafts, story sharing, and a light lunch. Everyone is welcome.
The International Students at Selkirk College host an annual Intercultural Fair on campus. The event is an opportunity for the sharing and learning of the many different cultures represented at Selkirk College. The two-hour lunchtime event generally features food from around the world, colourful dance, demonstrations, and interactive games. The event is open to the entire campus community.
Selkirk's Healthy Campus program runs Safe Spaces training sessions for employees to develop skills in order to more effectively support LGBTQ+ inclusion on campus.
