The Innovation & Sustainability Hub

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:

The Innovation & Sustainability Hub is a space located in the Student Center that showcases campus innovation activities and sustainability initiatives and serves as a collaborative space to share information and engage the campus with these activities.


A brief description of any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation (if not reported above):

We have engaged students and other community members through pop-up classes and other activites. Class topics have included: “3D printing workshop,” “get to know your Green-fee,” “Design Thinking,” "Environmental Justice," "Composting Basics," and more. For the 2016 fall semester, the hub was used to host “T-shirt craft night” during Dawgs nite out, where recycled t-shirts were used to make grocery bags was also held here. A total of about 75 students participated for the event. Students and faculty are also encouraged to showcase their innovation or sustainability related project in the Hub
