Earth Yoga Program

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

The Earth Yoga Summer Series was offered once a month on the last Thursday of the month from July 2023 to September 2023 at 1pm as part of the yoga program offered by Corporate Fitness Works. This Summer Series focused on mindfulness and connecting with nature, in hopes of stewarding personal and planetary wellness for participants. Participation was open to the UMass Chan community, free of charge, and regardless of membership to the Fitness Center. Co-sponsored by the Office of Wellbeing, Office of Sustainability, and the University’s Fitness Services Provider, Corporate Fitness Works, the Earth Yoga Summer Series will begin in June of each year from now on and last until the end of September. Sessions will move indoors for rain or other poor weather conditions.
